St. Paul's Church of England Primary School

Flourishing through SIAMS

At St. Paul's, our vision is rooted in Jesus' promise that all may "have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10).

Our vision is brought to life through the story of Peter stepping out of the boat (Matthew 14). We encourage our pupils to be courageous, embrace challenge and confidently step into new opportunities, knowing that they are supported by a caring and nurturing community.

In our most recent SIAMS inspection, inspectors recognised that our Christian vision had become deeply embedded within school life and was enabling pupils and adults to flourish. The inspection highlighted the positive impact of our vision on learning, relationships, collective worship and Religious Education.

What SIAMS Recognised

Inspectors found that:

  • Our Christian vision had transformed the school and was having a daily impact on school life.

  • Pupils demonstrated resilience and confidence by "stepping out of the boat" in their learning.

  • Religious Education enabled pupils to flourish and provided a safe space for discussion and reflection.

  • Relationships throughout the school were rooted in dignity, respect and forgiveness.

  • Staff wellbeing was valued and supported.

  • Collective worship was strengthened through effective partnerships with the local church.

Our Journey Since Inspection

As a school, we continue to develop and grow.

Since our last inspection we have:

  • Developed a clear and shared approach to spirituality through our Wows, Ows and Nows model.

  • Embedded Windows, Mirrors and Doors across our curriculum.

  • Increased opportunities for pupil leadership and participation.

  • Further developed our inclusive approach to supporting every child to flourish.

  • Continued to strengthen our partnerships with church, families and the wider community.

Our Christian vision continues to shape every aspect of school life and remains at the heart of our commitment to enabling every child and adult to flourish.
